Pu'er (or Pu'erh, Puer, Puerh, Pu-er, and Pu-erh) is a black tea that has been fermented.
Rather than a wet ferment - like a kombucha - pu-erh is a long, slow dry fermentation. A silky, delicious infusion often drunk alongside food it is traditionally thought to aid digestion.
Distinctive in its earthy flavour, pu'er is a truly unique speciality and here at Rare Tea Company we sell it both loose and as a traditional pressed pu'er cake.
