Picked, rolled, fired and then smoked, this loose leaf tea epitomises hand-made orthodox crafting. In an age of artificial chemicals and flavourings, these are real wood-smoked leaves. Unlike the subtlety of our Lapsang Souchong, this loose leaf tea is more of a Laphroaig than a Springbank.

I love Lapsang Souchong and have tried many. This Tarry Lapsang Souchong is by far the best I have tasted: it combines delightful smoke, with a strong warming flavour but there is also a delicateness in the perfume. Bliss! I highly recommend Rare Tea Co: the teas are excellent, the customer service is very good and I love what Henrietta is doing with small producers. Don’t ever drink dust in bags ever again!! This is worth it.
