It was wonderful. I have tried any number of alternative Earl Grey tea products. Disappointed, I'd given them up, thrown them out and moved on to a less favourite tea leaf. I was overjoyed when I opened your elegant Earl Grey tin and was greeted by the unmistaken bouquet of lemon bergamot. The particular taste and experience of this tea is uniquely uplifting. Don’t alter anything, it's one of an excellent kind.

The best Earl Grey
The best Earl Grey I've ever tasted! Since I opened the sachet I perceived its pleasant and soft notes, the aroma of a natural extract is immediately felt, this tea made me love Earl Grey, I wasn't a big fan of this type of blend, now I love it. I love that there is no astringency or excess flavor of the bergamot, it is a complete balance of flavors, in the first infusion I infused it for a minute and a half and for the second for two minutes, it was ideal for my taste.

Since tasting rare early grey tea a couple of years ago, I have never returned to the commercial variety again. It is simply exquisite - beautifully complex, aromatic and wonderfully fragrant whilst still offering great intensity and structure. My favourite tea ever.

The real thing
I always heard my mother saying the she hated Earl grey, which is often the tea offered to you when you are invited for tea in the afternoon. You should hear her shouting it out loud,in Italian, because I am Italian and we lived in Rome at that time (it was in the1970-1980.s). And of course ordinary Earl Grey was just "disgusting". Yet I loved the smell, even if it was artificially obtained with synthetic perfumes. So I never allowed myself to dring "schifoso tè" till now, that I am in my fifties, so impelling my mother's anathema was. When I discovered Rare Tea, a few years ago, I knew I could buy Henrietta's Earl Grey. And I was right. Not only the tea is exquisite and rich in flavour but there is REAL bergamot oil inside. You immediatly spot the difference. And the essence blends with the tea and doesn't hide the taste. It's miraculous. It's a very good afternoon tea. And you can drink it with or without a drop of creamy milk (I prefer full unskimmed milk for more richness of flavour). And of course, I also change. Sometime I drink some Darjeeling, or the Lapsang Souchong. But there are afternoons where I play my make-believe British Afternoon tea in my tiny Paris home and I am so glad I have Rare Tea Earl Grey. We all need our rituals to keep on going in this world.

Best Earl Grey I've had
The best Earl Grey I have ever had. It's not bitter or artificial tasting. It's zesty and delicious. May very well be my favourite rare tea.
