The most elegant of mints, these gentle leaves make a remarkably smooth, well rounded infusion. Grown on the rolling, green hills of the Shire Highlands of Malawi; they have a delicate softness while still revealing intense layers of flavour.
This is an ideal mint to accompany food - working splendidly as a flavour pairing for both sweet and savoury dishes. It also works rather well as a digestif.
Naturally caffeine free.

More infusion tips
How to infuse your tea is very personal, and these are just our recommendations based on experience. Please experiment with these variables to your heart's delight. These are our recommendations, not hard and fast rules. The most delicious tea is the one you love.
Our guide uses a standard tea cup size (150ml/5.5 oz) as a measure, please adjust the quantity of leaf accordingly for less or more water. Our whole loose leaves are of such a high quality that you can infuse our teas at least twice, and the second infusion is often better than the first, with different flavours revealed as the leaf softens. If you prefer your tea stronger, add more leaf, donβt leave it for longer (this will just make it bitter).

MALAWI
Spearmint
This native African spearmint was one of our most unusual finds. From the rolling green hills of the Shire Highlands, Malawi, it is grown by smallholders alongside the Satemwa Tea Estate, helping supplement the incomes of local families.
Like all our herbs and teas it is grown without herbicides or pesticides, beside a small river beneath the tea fields.
This is Flora, one of our smallholder farmers who grows and harvests our spearmint.

Tastes as good as it smells
Opening up the package, you can't help but smile. This mint has a brightness to it that puts every other mint tea I've ever had to shame. Brew up a cup, sit back, and relax. It will make you want to slow down and enjoy.

Malawi Spearmint
This spearmint smells absolutely heavenly and certainly adds beautiful flavor to any blend!!! It is clearly very high quality compared to other products I have purchased from other tea shops. I prefer my leaves like this instead of all ground up into microscopic pieces!!!

A refreshing change!
I drink a range of teas, and would normally pick peppermint as my mint option. However, this was a fantastic alternative - I found it lighter and more refreshing in some ways. I will definitely continue to buy it and likely turn to it more than peppermint in the future.

Blissful....
Utterly blissful on the palate... delicate and soft on the mouth...clean finish Immediately ordering more... Just love the soft spearmint cooling sensation that is left in my mouth. A big thank you to mother nature...
