"I thought I hated jasmine tea - that it was bitter, astringent and overpowering. This tea however, is soft, surprisingly sweet and very subtly scented - it feels more like an evening wander in summer than anything else. Would definitely recommend."

"I bought this tea on a whim and I am so glad that I did. The tea has an amazing flavour and it is well worth carving some time out to sit and enjoy its delicate yet fulfilling flavours with nothing else to distract from the pleasure of the taste: It is almost a meditation. A pure treat."

More infusion tips
How to infuse your Silver Tip Jasmine tea is very personal, and these are just our recommendations based on experience. Please experiment with these variables to your heart's delight; this is a starting point, not hard and fast rules. The most delicious tea is the one you love.
Our guide uses a standard tea cup size (150ml/5.5 oz) as a measure, please adjust the quantity of Silver Tip Jasmine accordingly for less or more water. Our whole loose leaves are of such a high quality that you can infuse our teas at least twice, and the second infusion is often better than the first, with different flavours revealed as the leaf softens. If you prefer your tea stronger, add more leaf, donβt leave it for longer (this will just make it bitter).

Jasmine tea made with fresh flowers
This tea is not flavoured and contains no additives or oils.Β
The delicate leaf buds (silver tips) are laid out on bamboo trays with fresh blossom over six consecutive nights. Through the night the downy buds absorb the scent of the jasmine. Each morning the flowers are discarded, and each night fresh jasmine is layered through the tea in a sealed room to impart their fragrance.
This is done in the summer months when the jasmine flowers are at their peak and the blossoms are picked as ripe buds. Each afternoon the pickers go out into the jasmine fields.Β The harvest requires incredible skill to select only the flowers just at the point of opening β too soon and they will remain tight shut, too late and they will have already released their scent.Β
In the sealed scenting rooms, the heat and humidity unfurls the buds, releasing their aroma directly into the tea.Β
Better than jasmine pearls, with no artificial flavours...
Once the preserve of Emperors this is simply the finest jasmine tea available anywhere.
A grade above Jasmine Pearls, this is a more delicate and elegant white tea β made with greater skill, and a higher grade of pick - resulting in an altogether sweeter tea with incomparable flavour.
Jasmine tea can be made using any tea as a base and is most often flavoured with oils or synthetic flavourings to mask low grade leaves and a sprinkling of flowers to make it look natural. Our Silver Tip Jasmine is pure tea, scented with pure flowers.Β Β
