This Gaiwan Subscription Box is a selection of some of the best loose leaf teas and herbs to infuse using a gaiwan.

If you've not used a gaiwan before, it is essentially a lidded tea bowl that's used as a teapot, however it's far more than the sum of its parts. First conceived in the Ming Dynasty, it's perfect for infusing the most delicate and intricate teas. It's particularly suited to this selection of delicious loose leaf teas because they can be infused multiple times with a high leaf-to-water ratio. A gaiwan gives you great accuracy and allows you to savour multiple extractions of your precious leaf.

They're also great to take with you on the road, compact enough to take with you from a train to a plane.

You can add our Traditional Gaiwan Set or Easy Pour Gaiwan Set to your first delivery. Just make sure you tick 'yes' above to add one of these to your basket.

The Traditional Gaiwan Set is made from bone china and includes 6 cups, whilst the Easy Pour Gaiwan Set is made of ceramic and comes with 3 cups. Both are wonderful but if you are choosing this as a tea gift for someone new to using a gaiwan, we might suggest the Easy Pour set to start with.
