Explorer
The Rare Tea Lady
Collected from her travels across the world these teas are only to be found in very small quantities or have been blended exclusively by @raretealady for her personal use. Ever the explorer, these adventures donβt stop at her journeys but continue once Henrietta returns to London, ensconced in her blending room.
Japanese Breakfast Blend
Moriuchi Tea Garden, Shizuoka, Japan
The art of English Breakfast is to combine black teas to create a blend that is better than the sum of its parts. This tea takes some very rare Japanese black teas and combines them with a little Hojicha (toasted green tea) - which is a little outlandish, to say the least. The result is rich, nutty, deep and delicious (Best enjoyed without milk).
Jun Chiyabari 2024 Blend
Jun Chiyabari Tea Garden, Nepal
A blend of harvests from across the seasons at Jun Chiyabari Tea Garden in Nepal. This black tea blend tells the story of a truly unique terroir. Henrietta took the best from each season and meticulously blended the perfect expression of this extraordinary tea garden through the year. Unrepeatable and incomparable.
Autumn Cloud
Lakyrsiew Tea Garden, India
A black tea from the tiny but exquisite, Lakyrsiew garden, in Meghalaya - the bushes that are usually picked in early summer to make our Rare Cloud Tea have been left until just before winter dormancy. The result is an intense cocoa, malt, stone fruit, honeyed infusion.
Elevenses Tea
Fuding, Fujian Province & Qimen, Anhui Province, China
A blend of two precious Chinese teas. The sweet, rich, black Keemun tea is from one of the most beautiful tea regions in the world where the terraces are shaded by ancient forest. Perfectly married with tender spring buds of white silver tip tea, handcrafted high in the remote mountains of Fujian.
Vanilla Earl Grey
Satemwa Estate, Malawi; Reggio Calabria, Italy; Fujian Province, China & Ndali Estate, Uganda
A delicious take on the classic flavours of Earl Grey. A handcrafted black, loose leaf tea from Satemwa blended with pure bergamot oil from ancient citrus groves in Calabria, southern Italy. To this, Henrietta added some elegant Emperorβs Breakfast black tea from Fujian and pure Ugandan vanilla pods from Ndali.
Noma Game Season Blend
Moriuchi Tea Garden, Shizuoka, Japan & Satemwa Estate, Shire Highlands, Malawi
This truly exceptional blend of black, puβer and green teas showcases Henriettaβs most extraordinary powers of blending. Created for the autumnal game season at Noma Restaurant in Copenhagen - this tea pairs beautifully with game and mushrooms.
Saffron Blend
Lakrysiew, Meghalaya, Temi, Sikkim & Kashmir, India
Fragrant and luxurious black, Indian Himalayan tea from the tiny gardens of Lakyrsiew and Temi blended enhanced with sublime saffron. Our direct trade Kashmiri Saffron (Shahi Saffron) is the strongest most intensely flavoured variety, just a few delicate strands add incredible depth and complexity.
Rare Oolong Blend
Waikato Tea Garden, Hamilton, New Zealand & Taitung, Taiwan
A rather unconventional combination of Oolongs from across the globe. Only the Tea Lady would have the temerity to take some of the most valuable teas in the world and blend them. Conformity of opinion, however, is not the best arbiter of taste. Sometimes a little ingenuity can lead us to new heights of deliciousness.
Steamy Green
Waikato Tea Garden, Hamilton, New Zealand, Satemwa Estate, Shire Highlands, Malawi & Moriuchi Tea Garden, Shizuoka, Japan
A blend of Waikato Green, Malawi Steamed Green and Japanese Sencha results in a complex green tea that is silky smooth. This blend celebrates the diversity of green tea from all corners of the world, bringing sensational flavours together in one delicious cup.
Stressless Blend
Slavonija & Podravina, Croatia & Fuding, Fujian China
A personal blend for stressful moments; a fusion of white teas, lemon herbs and chamomile. This makes a lovely tea to quiet the mind, designed to not just taste wonderful but also leave you relaxed and calm. It is also rather good with a splash of gin if things are really bad - we wonβt judge.

In most instances we will give you a full refund of the itemβs cost excluding postage. We may ask you to return the item to us.
