More infusion tips
How to infuse your tea is very personal, and these are just our recommendations based on experience. Please experiment with these variables to your heart's delight. These are our recommendations, not hard and fast rules. The most delicious tea is the one you love.
Our guide uses a standard tea cup size (150ml/5.5 oz) as a measure, please adjust the quantity of leaf accordingly for less or more water. Our whole loose leaves are of such a high quality that you can infuse our teas at least twice, and the second infusion is often better than the first, with different flavours revealed as the leaf softens. If you prefer your tea stronger, add more leaf, donβt leave it for longer (this will just make it bitter).

MENTHA BALSAMEA
Peppermint
Peppermint β Mentha Balsamea is a naturally occurring hybrid of watermint and spearmint. This is a native European species and is one of the oldest known plants used for herbal tea, cooking and medicinally.
Uplifting without caffeine, peppermint aids digestion and sweetens the breath.

Grown in the Beira Baixa Province of Portugal - set between Tejo Nature Park and UNESCO recognised Naturetejo Geopark.
In this beautiful natural area, on a small, sustainable organic farm β this stunning peppermint is grown with love and care.

Just as terroir - the land and individual environment characteristic that makes each field and farm unique - plays an important part in the flavour of tea, or wine, so it does for herbs.
This mint is enhanced by the rich biodiversity in which it grows and sweetened by the abundance of sunshine.

Portugese Peppermint
I found the rare team company through St John and am very glad I did. The nicest tea I've had.
Cool and dreamy cup of heaven!
I'm a skeptic when it comes to peppermint teas. They often end up on tasting too sharp, too bitter, too stale or too much like dried grass. This Portuguese peppermint tea, however, is wonderful! It smells perfect and tastes smooth and natural and 100% like mint. Every time I drink a cup I can almost smell the mint field harvests that I remember from a childhood visit to my uncle's horse ranch, drinking tea and watching the sunset with the tang of fresh mint on the breeze. It's calming and has just a hint of cooling menthol at the finish. It's well-balanced, not bitter (though it's great with a touch of mild honey) and also not heavy or cloying. I am so glad I tried this tea! I would definitely this purchase again!

fabulous mint
I bought this earlier in the year and then it went out of stock - as soon as it came back in I snaffled lots more :) for me it is simply the best peppermint tea. I also buy the green tea and mint and that is also delightful

simply the best mint tea
learned a lesson, taste then rapidly buy more, now out of stock and for us, its the best tasting mint tea! The others are also beautiful and will order them all again, this does stand out
