This is our strongest loose leaf English breakfast tea. If you are looking for swift power this is the one for you.

We have used a finer cut of tea to infuse faster. It has been blended for delicious malty depth and intensity. Speedy is particularly good enjoyed with a silky drop of milk.

This loose leaf tea is selected from selected fields and harvests across the Satemwa Estate; a small, family-run tea garden in the Shire Highlands of Malawi.

Very good.. strong the way I like it, quick brewing and good foreground and back ground tastes.. it was smaller leaves and particles than I thought it would be, but it opened nicely and gave a good depth of taste.. certainly a good ‘go to’ tea in the morning…!

Amazing tea

I am quite fussy about tea and food in general. Your tea is really special and I love the speedy breakfast because it is quick to brew and the taste is so amazing. I would recommend to anyone (but not only this, all your teas are spectacular!)

This is seriously good tea

You know what it's like; you need a REALLY good cup of tea, not something in a bag struggling to stain the water brown, but you haven't got much time, as you're already late. This is what you're looking for. If you've got some kind of a strainer, you're away; this tea packs an amazing amount of flavour in very little time. Enjoy!

Superb, especially with a good quality oat milk.

My favourite black tea, and especially good with a high quality oat milks such as Oatly organic or Minor Figures.

Great hot - but even better iced!

I purchased this tea to replace my morning coffee and, to that end, it was wonderful. I like my tea neat and very strong and Speedy never disappointed and was never bitter. However, it wasn’t until I started cold infusing it for iced tea that it really turned into something magical. Maybe it’s just me but I get dozens of more nuanced flavor notes from the iced version of this tea, done very strong, without ice or sweeteners, than from the hot . . . not that I don’t love it hot . . . but it’s coming on summer here in Southern California and iced Speedy really hits the spot.

Not just speedy, but tasty!

Speedy Breakfast Tea brews quickly into a strong, smooth infusion that goes well with milk and sugar (my preference). It is my breakfast tea of choice.

Greatest tasting tea

The speedy breakfast tea is actually misnamed: I certainly drink it for breakfast but I also drink it throughout the rest of the day. It is delicious. I also love the fact that I am helping to support independent tea farmers.

Deserves its name, and a few more

Speedy because a good cup is ready in two minutes, with another steep available for the second cup. Speedy also because there’s a solid boost of theine which gets me going. At breakfast time, of course. But it's also a fine-tasting cup of tea, one which easily competes, even at its price level, with other broken-up-small premium types. I stretch mine by mixing it half-and-half with some much cheaper Assam, most days. The cup is raised up by the Speedy Breakfast, not brought down by the other. Somehow this rhymes with the feeling that Rare Tea is helping its growers to raise themselves up as well.

Speedy bliss

Really impressed by this tea. I was first given some as part of my mother's Day present and knew I'd have to order more. Excellent tea

My favorite tea!

A delicious, strong, warming tea which I have been enjoying several times a day since purchasing. I love that I can infuse the tea twice and still have an excellent cup of tea.

Speedy breakfast tea: a fine brew

The tea has a fine colour, and an excellent flavour. I notice that guests provided with a cup invariably comment 'mmm...that's a nice cup of tea,' or something similar.

Our favourite cup of tea of the day, nip down to a chilly kitchen, make speedy tea and have our first delicious cup of tea in bed. Before we heard Henrietta talk we had no idea of the disgraceful conditions many tea workers exist in, and we have completely changed our tea purchasing habits since.

Deliciously different

A rich tea that handles milk and a bit of sugar very well. I'm used to blends that include assam, if not entirely assam, for my usual morning cuppa, so I was curious what this would taste like. I find it very different but equally satisfying. It's malty, but not so dark as assam, yet equally robust in flavor. It's also wonderfully smooth, and I agree with someone else who said no tannins. The one thing I notice over and over is the taste of grains, reminding me of good ole wheat flakes, so it truly makes a wonderful "breakfast" tea! I likely will purchase again.

Tasting Notes

Remarkably strong, rich and comforting with a deep malty finish.

Quantity

Use 2.5g of tea per 150ml of water.

Temperature
