Bamboo Matcha whisk - or Chasen - handmade in Shizuoka, Japan. The perfect implement to achieve gloriously smooth and foamy Matcha.This Matcha whisk - or Chasen - is made by hand from a single piece of bamboo, in Shizuoka, Japan.

It is of the highest quality, to effectively whisk our ceremonial grade Japanese Matcha into beautiful, frothy green goodness.

You can tell the quality of a Chasen by the number of prongs it possesses - ours has 80 to be precise, intricately made out of the one piece of wood.

Use your Chashaku to measure 2 scoops of Matcha into a Matcha bowl or tea bowl, add 100ml of water at 70°C and carefully whisk the tea in a figure-of-eight motion, ensuring smooth and frothy tea.

Wash by gently rinsing under warm water and leave to dry standing upright.
