Robust and beautiful hand-blown glass teapot in two sizes - the little one (150ml) is ideal for a single cup and the larger (300ml) is perfect for tea for two (or a large mug). Fill to the point where the top of the spout meets the body of the teapot for the perfect pour.

This glass teapot is meticulously designed and crafted to be both strong and delicate. It is hand-blown from special heat-resistant, toughened glass to be practical as well as beautiful.

It is perfectly balanced to pour without spilling a drop of precious tea and comes with a stainless steel spiral in the spout to hold back the loose tea leaves - it will filter out everything but finer cut loose leaf teas (such as Speedy, Earl Grey & Lost Malawi). To guarantee no finer leaves end up in your cup, we have our Rare Tea Overcup Strainer.

This teapot is extremely giftable for those who are resistant to leaf tea - the bespoke design makes it so easy to get your measurements right for the perfect cup. Full and detailed instructions on how to use on the inside of the box.

These teapots are dishwasher proof and the internal strainer can be easily removed - very easy to maintain and keep clean.

It is very rare that our strong glass teapots might break, however in case of any mishaps we do also provide replacement lids for both sizes.

Lovely delicate tea pot.

I love to watch the tea brew, and to see its colour, and such an elegant pot goes so well with the fine tea. (Check the capacity carefully before choosing). I found the wire filter fiddly to use, and so have abandoned it.

Pleasure to use

Just right for two and the transparency adds to the tea making process. Also glass cannot taint the flavour so very pleased.

Rare Tea Glass Teapot

This teapot is the second I have purchased of this design so that I have a backup and may continue drinking excellent tea even in the unfortunate event of a breakage. My method follows your recommendations: I fill a 250ml mug with freshly boiled water, then wait for 1 minute. Meanwhile I measure 2g of tea (usually Rare Tea Oolong) in the palm of my hand and pop it in the teapot. When the minute has elapsed I pour all the water (now cooled to around 85-90C) into the teapot, and after a further 2-3 minutes pour all the liquid back into the (still warm) mug. Then I may savour the delightful tea. Staying in the teapot until later in the day, the tea leaves remain slightly moist and are all ready to make a second mug of tea. This teapot is essential to my tea making and I would not be without it, John - Cambridge
