More infusion tips
How to infuse your tea is very personal, and these are just our recommendations based on experience. Please experiment with these variables to your heart's delight. These are our recommendations, not hard and fast rules. The most delicious tea is the one you love.
Our guide uses a standard tea cup size (150ml/5.5 oz) as a measure, please adjust the quantity of leaf accordingly for less or more water. Our whole loose leaves are of such a high quality that you can infuse our teas at least twice, and the second infusion is often better than the first, with different flavours revealed as the leaf softens. If you prefer your tea stronger, add more leaf, donβt leave it for longer (this will just make it bitter).

Unique
Traditionally Steamed
Beautifully crafted and completely unique this tea is only produced in tiny quantities - just a few kilos a year. These precious leaves are steamed in the traditional Japanese style resulting in a succulent and extremely rich green tea.
Wonderful served hot or cold and particularly good over ice with honey and fresh mint. On the farm in Satemwa they often add a little Lemon Verbena to the pot and spoon of honey into the cup for a truly refreshing tea.

Gentle and Soothing
This is a lovely tea that brings up the flavor profile of a sencha tea due to its crafting methods. Despite this, it is a different flavor altogether. It is a lovely tea that really soothes and warms the spirit! I recommend it whole heartedly.

Rather moreish, after increasing tea to 3g per 150ml water
On using the suggested 2g per 150ml water I found the flavour to be a bit lacking, very subtle. So I increased the tea amount to 3g per 150ml water and for me the flavour is much improved, a really enjoyable cuppa.

Malawi Green Tea
This is my favourite tea. Having visited Satemwa estate and seen the measures put in place to support workers, both with health and education for children, I kill 2 birds with one stone. Drinking lovely tea and supporting a very worthwhile project!

Unique gift to the lover of green tea
Be prepared for a green tea unlike, in very wonderful ways, from possibly every other green tea you have drunk--though perhaps you have the good fortune to have encountered other superb ones unknown to this soul. Many green teas leave me puckered and feeling dried out--this one does not. This one perks me up without letting me down. And its delicious to boot! Please give it a try--hopefully you will love it as much as I do.
