My new morning tea

This is now my go-to morning tea. It's notes site somewhere between a green and a black tea. It is lighter than the beautiful second flush while being delicately complex and fragrant.

Top quality as always

As years go by I find myself increasingly buying tea only from Henrietta. The Sikkim and others are so much better than the generic brands and are even more delicious on subsequent refills of the teapot.

First Flush Sikkim

Bursting with floral high notes

Tasting Notes

Crafted as a black tea it is lighter, more ethereal than later harvests - almost like a silky green tea but with heady florals, deep richness and all the verdant sweetness of spring.  It infuses to a pale golden cup.

Use 2.5g of tea per 150ml of water.

For a green style infusion use 75°C (167°F) water.

For a black style infusion use water at 85°C (185°F).

Infuse for 1 - 2 minutes, tasting regularly.

You can infuse this tea at least twice.  With each careful infusion, different subtleties of flavour are revealed.

Cost Per Cup

42p per cup based on 2.5g of tea per 150ml of water and 2 infusions.
