All the taste, none of the calories.

Certain to satisfy both your tea and chocolate craving, this new blend combines the bright, fruity notes of organic Grenadan cacao nibs with the rich maltiness of handcrafted Malawi black tea.

Sourced directly from Grenada by our friends at Pump Street Bakery in Suffolk, the cacao beautifully complements the tea we have sourced directly from a small, independent estate in the Shire Highlands of Malawi. No artificial flavourings, just pure indulgence.

Chocolate Tea

Loved the hint of chocolate, it's not overpowering, and gives the tea a creamy feeling and taste.

Delicious

Strongly reminiscent of chocolate digestives. Warm malty flavours with the chocolate coming through more clearly on second steeping. Absolutely delicious.

Pretty much a spiritual experience. Really.

I was pretty sure I wouldn't like this. But anything with chocolate in the title .... I had the pouch for a few weeks before I could bring myself to try it. And, man! the first sip and all the crinkles in my being smoothed out. It is smooth and multi layered and divine. This is better than chocolate.

I couldn't not try this tea!! I love tea and I love chocolate! I did think I was either going to love or hate it but just had to try! Well I am glad I did it has such a wonderful chocolatey smell and taste that goes so well with the tea itself! It is an afternoon tea I think though!

Tasting Notes

"Deep, rich and malty, it has notes of caramel and burnt sugar. The addition of the cocoa nibs brings a huge richness to the proceedings, with a fuller mouthfeel and unmistakable chocolate hit. Hints of orange zest and blackberries. The nose is bold with the rich smell of high quality, earthy dark chocolate."

Pump Street Chocolate

Our friends Pump Street Chocolate share our ideas about sustainability and sourcing - they import directly from single estates and cooperatives around the world. Provenance and process is key to their product. They source cacao from the best growers who ferment and dry the beans at origin. They then tailor our roasting, grinding and conching to yield the best tasting chocolate possible.

The cocao nibs in our new Chocolate Tea blend are from Crayfish Bay, Grenada. The land, 13 acres of which is under cocoa, has five natural springs and is steep so has natural drainage. The soil is acidic and has high organic content due to the constant defoliage of the cocoa.

We blended the nibs with a hand-crafted black tea blended from harvests across a small, independent estate in the Shire Highlands in Malawi.
