RareTeaCo Loose Leaf Tea.
Our loose leaf tea is selected for exceptional taste, grown with care for the environment, and sourced directly from the farmers themselves.
- Traceability - we work directly with tea farmers and tea communities, securing unique small-batch and single-estate harvests from regions including Sri Lanka and beyond. We know our farmers. We know where our tea comes from and how it is grown and crafted.
- Health - we only buy from farms that work under organic farming principles, producing healthier and tastier tea. Our teas are naturally free from pesticides, herbicides, bleaches, glues or microplastics.
- Curation - we travel the world personally to find the very best unique tea harvests, drawing on over two decades of specialist experience. We don't buy low-grade industrial tea from brokers.
- Ethics - we buy tea direct from farmers at the best quality at a price they set, not a commodity at auction. Every tea is tested for purity without passing certification costs onto our farmers.
- Sustainability - we support the three pillars - economic, environmental and social (for more, see Rare Charity). Our teas are packed plastic-free in fully recyclable and reusable tins.
RareTeaCo Loose Leaf Tea is Tasty, Sustainable, Plastic-Free and Chemical-Free
- Maximum flavour - great tea leaves need space to unfurl and infuse to extract the best taste.
- Chemical free - tea bags contain industrial solvents, glues, and chemicals to turn trees or corn into paper or plastic mesh. Whereas loose leaf tea is pure, all natural.
- Plastic free - this means no nanoplastics or microplastics in your cup.
- Sustainability - all tea bags use precious natural resources for single use.
- Eco-friendly - loose leaf tea wastes nothing and adds nothing to you or nature.

Types
When choosing from our tea you might start by type - which is determined by the way the Camelia sinensis leaves are crafted - much in the same way as grapes can become - white, rose, orange, red or sparkling wine.
